If your domain is transfer locked, it could be due to the following factors:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Registrar Lock:<\/strong>\u00a0This is an internal lock that we, your domain registrar, place on your domains in an effort to keep them from being transferred or moved to another account by anyone other than the owner. Find\u00a0how to unlock your domain.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>New Registration:<\/strong>\u00a0Domains within 60 days after initial registration can not be transferred. This cannot be adjusted and is a part of ICANN policy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Note: If you are setting any kind of transfer lock within your domainregistrationindia customer account, this refers to the first type of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.domainregistrationindia.co.in\/domain-registration.html\">domain transfer<\/a> lock listed above, Registrar Lock.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A\u00a0<strong>domain<\/strong> <strong>transfer lock<\/strong>\u00a0is sometimes called a\u00a0<em>registrar lock<\/em>, a\u00a0<em>transfer lock<\/em>, or a\u00a0<em>domain lock<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Essentially, transfer lock is a\u00a0<strong>protection mechanism<\/strong>\u00a0that prevents your domain from being stolen or deleted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"what-is-the-60-days-lock\">What is the 60 days lock?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When you register a domain (gTLD) or transfer it to another registrar (usually your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.squarebrothers.com\/web-hosting-india\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">web hosting<\/a> provider), the domain will be locked for 60 days. During this period the domain cannot be transferred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is part of the transfer policy from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.icann.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ICANN\u00a0<\/a>and applies to all registrars. We are unable to remove the lock or make any exceptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"changes-in-the-owner-details\">Changes in the owner details<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When you change the registrant name, company or email address of a domain in the\u00a0WHOIS, by default the domain will also be locked for 60 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this case it is possible to opt out of the lock. You can select this during the owner change procedure.
