In this guide, we will walk you through the process of adding and editing DNS records in cPanel Zone Editor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"dns-zone-functions-dns-records\"><strong>DNS Zone Functions<\/strong>(DNS records)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The following information will assist you in understanding the purpose of each DNS zone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"name-servers\"><strong>Name Servers<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>name servers<\/strong>\u00a0assist in finding the server and correct DNS zone for a domain to get the\u00a0information on the other DNS zone records. Name servers translate domain names into IP addresses and tell the internet where to look for a domain&#8217;s IP address.<br><br>If a domain was purchased from <a href=\"https:\/\/domainregistrationindia.co.in\/\">domainregistrationindia<\/a> and we&#8217;re your current registrar, you can update your name server within your Customer Portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"a-record\"><strong>A Record<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>A (address) record<\/strong>&nbsp;connects the domain to an IP address. For <a href=\"https:\/\/domainregistrationindia.co.in\">domainregistrationindia<\/a>, you can find it within your Customer Portal and cPanel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"cname-record\"><strong>CNAME Record<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>CNAME (canonical name) records<\/strong>&nbsp;are used to alias a domain or subdomain to another. They basically tell your server where to deliver your emails. TXT records must be formatted according to whichever technology you use. One of its purposes is validating ownership. There from the drop-down menu, select the domain for which you want to add a DNS record. Deleting a DNS Record:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Locate the DNS record you want to remove and click the \u201cDelete\u201d option next to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, a confirmation prompt will appear.
